Found On The InterNERD: Grocery Displays Part 2

Hello shoppers, welcome back to the InterNERD! Ever since last year’s FOTI Grocery Displays, I have been keeping my eyes peeled for more creative store sculptures. Finally found enough to worthy a Part 2 of this neat art form. Here are the coolest, nerdiest Grocery Displays I found on the InterNERD.

Yoshi Display. We featured a pixelated Mario in the last Grocery Displays, now it’s Yoshi’s time in the spotlight!

Battleship Display. This is a pretty impressive sculpture, entirely made of cans! Probably a lot of glue too.

King Kong Display. Oh man, I love this one! King Kong with the empire state building, holding a Mrs. Buttersworth bottle in place of the girl is a nice touch.

Minecraft Display. One of the most popular Minecraft character’s The Creeper done here, no doubt created by some nerdy store emplyees!

Wall-E Display. This Wall-E and Eve sculpture is really creative.

Batman Display. This must have been right around the time when The Dark Knight Rises was in theaters.

Viewmaster Display. This is great, definitely not in a grocery store but more like an art gallery. Check out the TV and Atari joysticks in the background! I tried to find a picture exclusively of that sculpture but alas couldn’t.

Angry Birds Display. Back in 2012 when Angry Birds were at their peak, there was actually an Angry Birds soda in Finland.

Simpsons Display. We featured a Kang/Kodos can display in Part 1, now we have Homer and Marge on the Simpson’s couch.

Etch-A-Sketch Display. We love Etch-A-Sketches on the TheNerdFilter! One of the classic toys that is truly timeless.

R2D2 Display. There are several hunger awareness events around the country called Canstruction, where sculptures are made and displayed for the public. This R2D2 was made at a Canstruction in San Francisco. Check out, they have videos of the R2D2 “candroid” being built.

Thanks for tuning in. Man so much creativity it takes to construct these displays. I really want to check out a Canstruction event too, that sounds like a lot of fun, and for a good cause.
