Trick or treat boys and girls! Halloween is right around the corner, but there is still time to carve some pumpkins. Over the years pumpkin carvings have made leaps and bounds depicting everything under the sun in very artistic ways. The pumpkin is actually a durable medium, and artists have found ways to take full advantage of it. Here are the coolest, nerdiest pumpkin carvings I found on the InterNERD.
Krang Pumpkin. The little brain bad guy Krang from TMNT looks amazing here! Created by Michael Villamejor, Krang is actually made of watermelon, and is sitting in a pumpkin dome.
Bill Gates Pumpkin. Steve Jobs usually gets all the love from computer fanboys, but here Bill Gates gets a tribute in pumpkin form. Created by Scott Heimendinger, check out his flickr for more sweet carvings.
Hellboy Pumpkin. The likeness of Ron Perlman is dead-on in this Hellboy pumpkin. Great work.
Predator Pumpkin. The detail on this Predator is amazing! This really is a work of art.
Tetris Pumpkin. The classic video game Tetris is still highly addictive. I like the NES controller thrown in.
Shining Pumpkin. Jack Nicholson’s performance in The Shining was groundbreaking. All work and no play makes Jack a jack o’lantern.
Joker Pumpkin. A pair of Jacks! Nicholson’s Joker in Tim Burton’s Batman was legendary. This pumpkin would look good dancing in the pale moon light.
Dalek Pumpkin. This is a more traditional pumpkin carving, hollowing out and cutting. Household items were then inserted to make this Dr. Who Dalek a deadly pumpkin!
Ron Swanson Pumpkin. Proving that not all pumpkins need to be horror themed. Ron Swanson from Parks and Recreations is represented! The hilarious Nick Offerman plays the character so deadpan it’s great.
Harry Pumpkin. Harry from Harry and the Hendersons is done here very creatively. The sasquatch never looked better!
Norman Bates Pumpkin. The mama’s boy from Psycho–Norman Bates is done here in this fantastically carved pumpkin! Just look at that shading that was achieved in the famous stare scene. Created by George Morrison, check out his flickr page for more amazing works!
Greetings ghouls, it’s InterNERD time! We are in October again, and with Halloween comes pumpkin Jack o’lanterns. Last year we did FOTI: Pumpkin Carvings now we picked enough out of the patch for a Part 2! Here are the coolest, nerdiest pumpkin carvings I found on the InterNERD.
Cthulhu Pumpkin. One of the master horror writers H.P. Lovecraft’s most well known evil God–Cthulhu here in pumpkin form. This is so detailed, check out JackOLanternSpectacular’s Flickr for more detailed pumpkins!
Bert and Ernie Pumpkins. I really like these simple pumpkins! It’s all about the shape of the squash to get these Muppet pumpkins right.
Deadpool Pumpkin. Aw yeah, Deadpool is breaking the 4th wall while breaking through this pumpkin!
Shadow of the Colossus Pumpkin. A very unique pumpkin from a rad cult video game! This pumpkin was created by Hilary Esdaile, check out her DeviantArt gallery for more great work.
Ghostbusters Pumpkin. Who you goin’ call to make this sweet pumpkin? I want one.
Gizmo Pumpkin. I don’t know why Gizmo has such a sinister look to him, maybe he ate after midnight and is halfway to becoming a Gremlin.
Homer Pumpkin. The Simpsons’ annual Treehouse Of Horror is a tradition for me, and gets me in the Halloween spirit.
Large Marge Pumpkin. Not Homer’s Marge, but Large Marge from Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure. If you have seen the film you know what scene this is, one of the most memorable moments ever in film.
Invader Zim Pumpkin. One of the most beloved cartoons Invader Zim is honored with Zim and Gir trick-or-treating. Created by Michelle Leona, check out her DeviantArt gallery for more great work.
Sex Bob-Omb Pumpkin. The band Sex Bob-Omb from Scott Pilgrim is all over this pumpkin! The drummer rules.
2-Headed Pumpkin. Looking like something straight out of a John Carpenter flick, this 2-faced pumpkin is creepy. Created by master pumpkin artist Ray Villafane, check out his official site VillafaneStudios.com for more amazing pumpkins! He even sells a master pumpkin tool set.
Welcome back to the InterNERD friends. It’s just about that time again, October will be here in no time. We have done FOTI Pumpkin Carvings, and Pumpkin Carvings Part 2, now we are hitting the ol’ pumpkin patch again. Here are the coolest, nerdiest pumpkin carvings I found on the InterNERD.
Groot Pumpkin. This pumpkin was carved in a very unique way, giving Groot here his textured wooden appearance.
Bojack Horseman Pumpkin. Oh yeah, someone carved a Bojack and Princess Carolyn pumpkin!
Dark Shadows Pumpkin. I’ve never seen the Dark Shadows movie, but this pumpkin depicting Johnny Depp as the lead vampire is superb!
Aqua Teen Pumpkin. The Adult Swim cartoon finally retired this year. So many great episodes, I hope the Aqua Teen guys do another project together.
Edna Mode Pumpkin. Wow, this pumpkin is incredible! Edna Mode from The Incredibles looks awesome with all the details in this pumpkin carving.
Futurama Pumpkins. These are sweet! This set of Futurama pumpkins are cool, but why no Zoidberg?
Lego Pumpkin. A great idea having these Lego minifigs construct this pumpkin so you don’t have to.
Ice King Pumpkin. The Adventure Time tyrant is executed great here. Love the use of the stem as the nose.
Cylon Pumpkin. The Battlestar Galactica robots look great as a pumpkin! The LED lights make this stand out.
Where The Wild Things Are Pumpkin. Very amazing detail on this pumpkin! Max and the monsters go 360 degrees around this pumpkin too. Must have taken many hours.
