Found On The InterNERD: Tattoos

Hello guys and girls, welcome to the weekly InterNERD installment. This week is all about nerdy tattoos! I try to usually narrow it down to 5, but this week I couldn’t do it. There is just too many cool, off beat, amazingly nerdy tattoos out there. So I doubled it up, enjoy this week’s super sized edition of Found On The InterNERD.

Mario Tattoo. This nerdtastic piece showcases a lot of the Mario world characters. Joe Netzel from Indelible Ink Tattoo, Eugene Oregon, did this amazing tattoo.

Rubik’s Cube Tattoo. This guy is never going to forget the algorithms for solving a Rubik’s Cube again. Nice execution here.

Scott Pilgrim Tattoo. Straight out of the comic, Scott Pilgrim leg wrap. Too cool.

MST3K Tattoo. Mystery Science Theater 3000’s Tom Servo represented here. This was a friendship tattoo, I found out. The other friend got Crow, the other wise cracking bot from the show. Such a good idea.

Muppets Tattoo. The Muppet’s band Dr. Teeth And The Electric Mayhem is represented here. They have the best drummer in the biz.

Star Wars Tattoo. There are a lot of good Star Wars Tattoos out there. I picked this one just because it showcased the coolest parts of the Galactic Empire.

Tesla Wrestling A Kraken. Nikola Tesla wrestling a giant sea monster. This physicist can do it all. Done by Perry Stratton at Splash of Color, in East Lansing Michigan. I wish I would have thought of this design.

Adventure Time Tattoo. The popular show Adventure Time makes the cut! Its popular because it is so good, splitting the age barrier of enjoyment for kids and adults alike. Finn is riding Jake here with Beemo under his arm.

Marvel Tattoo. Sweet leg sock here, full of Marvel comic heroes. I like the panel look of this.

Contra Tattoo. One of the most popular cheat codes is represented here. 30 extra lives! Along with the 8 bit Contra guys in the middle, this is a nice piece.

Whew! We mad it! I know it made me want to get some new nerdy ink. The new year is the perfect excuse to. That was the super sized edition of Found On The InterNERD. Have a nerdy tat to share with us? Put the link in the comments or share it through our Facebookpage. Tune in next week to get your nerd fix!

Hello everybody, welcome back to the InterNERD. Tattoos are everywhere! You can’t even go to the store without seeing some ink. Part 1of FOTI Tattoos showed a whole bunch of awesome nerdy tats. With the majority of the population getting tatted on the daily basis, there is a plethora of awesomeness out there. Here are the coolest, nerdiest tattoos I found on the InterNERD.

Venture Brothers Tattoo. One of the best cartoons on Adult Swim, Venture Brothers rule. I love the crazy look in Brock’s eyes.

Bacon Tattoo. Sometime’s its the little things that make good tattoos. Like the love of bacon. Infinity bacon happiness.

Camera Tattoo. Another pretty clever one. Much like the moustache on the finger, the camera on the forearm is sweet for photography nerds.

Star Wars Tattoo. Such a good concept for a Star Wars tat, the yin yang with Yoda and Darth Vader.

Kick-Ass Tattoo. Straight out of the Kick-Ass comic books, here is Kick-Ass and Hit Girl looking bloody awesome.

E.T. Tattoo. Such amazing detail in E.T. here. Done by Mark Powell of LDF Tattoo in Sydney Australia. Check out his gallery on his instagram, he does incredible portrait work. Would make for a great excuse to go visit Australia, and go see Mark!

Krang Tattoo. Haha, this Krang from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a great idea for a stomach tattoo!

Contra Spread Gun. Part 1 we featured a Contra tattoo of the legendary cheat code, now somebody got the spread gun power up! If you remember the game, this gun was sweet and a must have. Love the 8 bit on this.

Short Circuit Tattoo. Oh yeah, Johnny 5 done in a portrait style looks pretty rad. He definitely is a classic robot.

Now Tattoos Part 4 is going to dish up even more great art. Here are the coolest, nerdiest tattoos I found on the InterNERD.

Hank Hill Tattoo. Ha, I like this mash-up of King of the Hill and the Andre the Giant-Obey meme.

X-Men Comic Tattoo. Straight off a .50¢ Marvel X-Men comic! This one is super sharp and clean, looks great.

Sheldon Tattoo. The Big Bang Theory’s smartest weirdo Sheldon Cooper done in a caricature style.

He-Man Tattoo. This giant Masters of the Universe tat is awesome! Love Castle Greyskull in the background.

Powerglove Tattoo. Another 80’s gem, the Nintendo Powerglove! The “it’s so bad” saying from The Wizard is a nice add-on.

Stephen Hawking Tattoo. The master theoretical physicist in tattoo form! I think Hawking would even appreciate this one.

Spell-Check Tattoo. It works as a nerdy IT tattoo, although it doesn’t give you the correct spelling!

View Master Tattoo. Oh yeah, I forgot about the View Master til I received the Retroist Junk Box. It really is a great nostalgic toy.

Freakazoid/The Tick Tattoo. This dude is rad! Two great cartoons from the 90’s are represented on the top of his hands. Some places of employment look down on tattoos, in this case I would think he would get hired for having these!

Ghostbusters Tattoos. Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd from Ghostbusters are done here with incredible likeness. These were created by tattoo artist Chris Jones, check out his site for more great work!

Invader Zim Tattoo. I remember when Nickelodeon had a ton of great cartoons. This Invader Zim tattoo has just about everything great from the show, even the yard gnomes!

Beetlejuice Tattoo. Tim Burton has already said Beetlejuice 2 will happen, I hope it’s good and doesn’t tarnish the original. This tattoo is awesome, so much detail!

Lando Calrissian Tattoo. We have featured a lot of Star Wars tattoos in previous entries, but never Lando! This is also the Lando action figure, which makes this tattoo twice as cool.

Hellboy Tattoo. This little Hellboy is rad, I love it. He still has a little Fist Of Doom.

Milo Oblong Tattoo. I really like The Oblongs when they were a thing. Angus Oblong really needs to do an animated series again!

Bucky O’Hare Tattoo. Oh ya! I just wrote a Super Nostalgia on Bucky O’Hare. This is in an 8-bit style from the Bucky O’Hare NES game.

Daria and Jane Tattoos. The Daria cartoon for many was a relatable character. The queen of sarcasm with her BFF Jane by her side.

Connet-the-Dots Tattoo. This is a great idea! It can actually by lined out to make a giraffe. Pretty clever.

Sam Tattoo. The little guy from Trick R Treat looks pretty sinister in ink!

Robocop Tattoo. I recently watched the Robocop remake, I’m glad to see the original Murphy in tattoo form!

Lumpy Space Princess Tattoo. Lump Off! Adventure Time’s LSP knows how to tell people to get the lump out of here.

Breaking Bad Tattoo. This tattoo is pretty cool, paying tribute to one of the best shows of all time. Even has the early season RV in the Heisenberg silhouette.

Evil Dead Tattoo. This is sweet! An early Ash and a deadite looking spot on. Man, I love the Starz TV show, they really captured the spirit of the franchise.

Baymax Tattoo. The adorable health care robot Baymax in Big Hero 6 is spending some quality time with his hairy baby.

Joystick Tattoo. This is a great tattoo idea! A stylized Atari controller for the dedicated gamer.

Gizmo Tattoo. The perfect mogwai leading man Gizmo looks sweet all inked up. I’ve heard rumors of Gremlins 3, I would like to see it happen.

Mars Attacks Tattoo. Ack! Ack! The aliens from Mars Attacks are always looking to annihilate humans.

Millhouse Tattoo. Haha, I love this one. Millhouse thinking he’s so cool putting in his name as Thrillhouse!

Big Trouble in Little China Tattoo. This is incredible! A BTiLC sleeve is such a good idea. Jack Burton looks cool, but check out Lightning and The Guardian! This was created by tattoo artist Paul Acker. Check out his Facebook page for more amazing work. He specializes in horror and cult counter culture.
