Crysis 3

Hey guys, happy Wednesday!  Today was a pretty good day, all being said, but I’m very grateful to be through it.  I started Crysis 3 today, and even though I was so excited to play it, overall, I’ve been pretty disappointed.  Crysis 2 started off so strong, there was a great sense of urgency from the beginning, but 3 started so slow.  I am hoping that the pace speeds up, because I really want to love the game, but I have just completed Chapter 2, so there’s still a bit of time.  On the other hand, I enjoyed what little of the multiplayer I got to play tonight, and I’m hoping to get a World’s Worst FPS Player Ever video up on our YouTube page before I leave for work.

For those of you in the know, you might have saw the most awesome article Darrell posted a few days ago, on the newish toy line, called Funko Pop.  For those of you who missed it, check it out here.  I had never heard of them before the article, and after seeing them, I really would love to start collecting them.  I searched throughout the 40 or so pages of them on Amazon, but really couldn’t find any of them that I fell in love with, aside from the Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac vinyl figures.  Well, today D and I were talking, and he said that he had heard that they’re coming out with a Mass Effect series.  I don’t have a release date yet, and aside from the picture, I don’t know who all is going to be included in the series, but I have heard that they’re most likely going to be producing 5 figures, and also they’re going to be doing a Video Game series.  I need them, and I want them.

Today is the big day for the Sony Playstation, they’re going to be doing their big reveal for the PS4 today.  You can expect The Nerd Filter to cover as much of this announcement as possible, with Chris Hall leading the way.  Hopefully, they’ll dispel the rumours that the PS4 will not be able to play used games, but I have little hope.  Either way, whichever of the next generation system from Microsoft or Sony that allows for used game use, will be my next main system.  It isn’t that I don’t want to buy the games I like to play, it is just that I don’t want to pay for the games I don’t want to play.  When I’m playing Video Games like I normally do, I go through 3 or 4 games a week.  Normally one of them I’ve purchased, and the rest I rent.  I have found many gems in games I wouldn’t have normally played without the rental, and I do go out an buy them.  Hopefully one of the big two recognize this, and does something about it.
